This is the home of Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Competition in Texas. The Texas Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Association, Inc.(TAMMA) was formed as a nonprofit corporation in 2006 for the purpose of promoting Amateur MMA Competition through out the State of Texas.

Amateur MMA returns to San Antonio and Cowboys Dance Hall on Saturday May 19th. The event is produced by Premier Combat Group and Sponsored by Gruene Harley & Javalina Harley Davidson. Should be a great night of fights with familiar names and some brand new Amateur Fighters.

Juniors Division Competition

The Texas Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Association, Inc. (TAMMA) is currently implementing a Juniors Division Scholastic Level of Competition. Currently Athletes beginning at age 14 may compete in Striking/Kickboxing and Grappling events conducted by TAMMA. We are working with members of the Medical Advisory Board to implement a pilot program for 15 - 16 year old Amateur MMA. For more information please see the Membership section of our site.

The Medical Advisory Board continues to debate a safe and effective way to allow Junior MMA in Texas. The Medical Advisory Board meets at the TDLR North Campus Building located at 1106 Clayton Lane in Austin. If you are interested in Junior Level MMA please make arrangements to attend and voice your opinion.

To become a TAMMA Recognized Gym may use the online application to speed up processing.
